Yarra House

Yarra House is a traditional fisherman's dwelling situated part way down the bank on the left hand side. Access to the house is via the traditional narrow alley ways to the front and the rear of the house. The cottage is comfortably and attractively furnished to create a cosy and pleasant atmosphere.

Accomodation

Ground Floor: Spacious twin bedded room with access to the front of the house.

First Floor: Lounge area with television and extensive views over the village towards the sea. Breakfast bar leads onto kitchen with cooker, fridge and freezer. Kitchen leads onto bathroom.

Second Floor: Double bedroom with extensive sea views.

Robin Hoods Bay

Robin Hoods Bay is a picturesque little fishing village situated on the North Yorkshire Coast. It is a lively all year round holiday destination which attracts tourists from all over the world.

The Layout of the village with its narrow alley-ways and cobbled streets adds to the character and charm of the area.

The beach is a mixture of sandy patches and pebbled areas which are dotted with rock pools. The beach itself and the surrounding moors offer interesting walks which incorporate breathtaking views.

The bay has a range of shops, places to eat and pubs. More extensive facilities etc can be found at nearby Scarborough and Whitby. More local facilities include horseriding, tennis, bowls and a museum. Golf can be played at nearby Ravenscar.

The bay has various claims to fame including the fact that it is the basis for the fictional village of Bramblewick in Leo Walmsley's novels

Things to See

Robin Hoods Bay provides a good base from which to explore areas of North Yorkshire. It is situated close to the historic fishing ports of Whitby and Scarborough. Both of these towns offer extended leisure opportunities. The bay is also within convenient distance of other small fishing ports which may be of interest, for example, Staithes (Captain Cook's birthplace) and Runswick bay. Inland places such as Goathland the home of ITV's Heartbeat are within convenient distance.
